Maileen's Journey - June/July

July 2012

Thanks so much to all of our friends and family who continue to pray for Peter, Maileen and Marissa!  Please pray for them as a family (spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially)
and pray specifically for Maileen as she continues battling this disease.
We are thankful for all that God has done and is continuing to do!

JULY 3

PRAISING GOD.  He has allowed Marissa to be granted a visa extension so she will be able to get
some great speech therapy, til the end of the year.

JUNE 29

The results of my CT scans showed that the tumor I have left in my liver shrunk from my March CT of 6mm to 5.2mm...Praising God and thanks for your prayers...it's going down.  Unfortunately my tumor markers (0-31 being ideal) went from an 11 in May to 42 in June (which could mean nothing, but I believe that not sticking to an alkaline diet does have something to do with the change...I will be working towards going back to maintaining an alkaline diet and minimizing the sweets, trans-fats, overly processed foods and breads and sticking to higher omega filled proteins; and scheduling more focused exercises into our days).

After talking to Marissa's audiologist, to increase the amount of sounds and increase her vocabulary in the best manner possible, it would be wise to invest in an FM system that will be combined with her hearing aids. We have half the amount towards this system and are praying to raise the rest for the additional components, which can be used towards her education once we put her in school there in Honduras. Thanks again for being with us through every aspect of our journey. God is faithful and knows best how to help us grow well if we draw near to Him. Grow in Grace and Truth.
