Happy Halloween!

Sisters Minus One
The girls were super excited about getting their costumes on this afternoon and making their rounds for treats.  Poor Espy has been sick the past two days so she helped pass out candy with my mom (thanks,
Lola!) while I took Gianna, Isabella, and Evangeline trick-or-treating.
Little Red Riding Hood
Angelina the Pirate
Strawberry Shortcake
"Pocahontas"
Miss Evangeline refused to wear her costume until right before we walked out the door to go trick-or-treating.  This picture is from a corn maze we visited a few weeks ago.  Hopefully we'll get some pictures of her during our church's Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday.

Gianna is quite the character because one minute she can be sassing me about wearing a jacket over her costume as we walk out the door, and the next minute she's sweet as pie trick-or-treating with our neighbors and impressing them with her polite manners and ability to have a solid conversation.  Oh, GiBug - your tricks don't work on me, but you sure are a cute Little Red Riding Hood!  Poor apple doesn't fall far from the tree because I can certainly recall a time or two where I've been sassy leaving the house - yet super sweet to the next person I see.

Isabella was the most enthusiastic about our venture exclaiming,
Their light is on!
when it was just a lone hallway light peeking through a curtained window
or
Trick or Treat!
when other Halloween enthusiasts greeted us at their door.
My favorite was
Here's Evangeline and her mom,
as I walked up behind them with her little sister.

I'm your mom too, Isabella.

When we got home, Espy and Mom had built us a fire (be impressed because Bill is the man of fire around here) - and Gianna and Isabella took over Espy's candy distributing duties.

Espy and Lola had some good one-on-one time while we were out.  My mom says she talks a lot.  I have no idea where she gets that from - must be from her mom, right Isabella?

Happy Halloween!

Fun! They're too cute.

Ummm...why didn't you have a child dressed as Honey Boo Boo?
