Quick Fix
I made these for dinner the other night.
The girls were not huge fans,
but I'm definitely making them again.
They'll learn to love them as much as me -
I'm sure of it.
Fast and delicious - my kind of meal.

My New BFF
I love lists.
I love crossing things off lists even more.
Two lists that I have a hard time loving:
1. meal lists
and
2. grocery lists
They're not my faves.
These things make it hard to even think about making those lists:
Thing 1
Thing 2 & Thing 3
Thing 4
I'm sure this one will not be easy to please either:
Thing 5
So when a friend suggested E-mealz (Thanks, Katherine!), I had to check it out. I would MUCH rather spend my time cleaning or folding laundry (I know...I KNOW!) than figuring out what everyone will eat while staying within our food budget.
If you're like me, check it out - like I said, we're now BFF.

Summer Sippin'
We love this recipe for sangria:
1.5 liters red table wine
1 cup grenadine
2 cups cranberry juice cocktail
1 1/4 cups sweet vermouth
sugar water (1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water)
strawberries (cut into thirds)
orange (sliced thin and quartered)
Mix all the ingredients.
Let sit in refrigerator at least 4-5 hours, if not overnight.
Pour into serving glasses, then add ice.
Makes 1 gallon.

It's perfect for the summer season.
Make some - I promise you'll love it!

Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake
This just might push me over to my next jeans size:
Ever since this chick made these for Gianna's birthday and came over to make these for lunch, she's been one of my cooking heroes.
So when she blogged about this ridiculousness, I had to make it.
The Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake.
Make it as soon as possible.
I kid you not.

Door Envy
I have lots of things on The Husband's ToDo List for our home.
It's pretty long.
Our schedules are pretty full,
so we don't really have a lot of time for house projects
(and really by we, I mean he).
However, that doesn't stop me from falling in love
with new ideas like this one:
I love this door.
I would love to put this door in our kitchen.
I just might have to put chalkboard paint on
my shopping list very soon.

Search for Simplicity
I love blogs.
I might have told you this before.
I'm also a fan of simplifying.
I've been following Tsh at Simple Mom for a few months now.
Her blog is great!
Simple Mom is a productivity blog for home managers. It’s like Zen Habits wearing an apron. If we want to get things done and be fully present for all the things that are most important to us,
we have to keep things simple.
This blog is a catalog of the resources, tips, and lessons to make that happen. When we find solutions for cutting everyday life clutter, we’re taking care of our family, our home, and ourselves. I believe that when Mom (Dad, too) is doing well, the whole family thrives.
Just the other day, Tsh introduced Simple Living Media consisting of:
Simple Mom
Live simply, stay sane. Life hacks for home managers.
Simple Kids
uncomplicated parenting in a complex world
Simple Organic
back to nature, back to basics
Simple Bites
real food for the family table
and
Simple Homeschool
never let your schooling interrupt your education.
In honor of Simple Living Media's launch,
each of these blogs is hosting an awesome giveaway.
Check them out by clicking on the links above.
You can enter by leaving a comment, subscribing to the blog, or writing about the giveaways on your own personal blog
(hence this post!).
Be sure to stop by soon because the giveaways end
Saturday, February 13th at 11:59pm CST.
I just wanted to share all the giveaway goodness with you.
I also hope you can find a blog that interests you
and helps make life as you know it become a little less complex!

Window Wonderfulness
I would like to make one of these for our kitchen:

I saw this idea on one of my favorite blogs.
I know, I know.
I have to finish my paint project first.
Isn't it adorable, though?
