Praising God, so far...my chemo went well...the surgery spot was sore where they had to insert the IV and drip my drugs through. Went in at 9am and was able to leave at about 1pm. So far I have been feeling well, (I know it's because of prayer. Thanks so much.

Went by after my treatment, bought some brazilian nuts, hazel nuts, Florida grapefruit juice. Had salmon, garlic, asparagus and shitake mushrooms for lunch, and guanabana juice from Honduras. At

SURGERY UPDATE

Out of surgery...went well...still tired...and very hungry...how was marissa nicolle's case? Call me...live you tons...the 'port'pump really sticks out...guess I am a bit skinny...lol

Flight was smooth, this being apart is difficult for all 3 of us.

Marissa Nicolle is officially Marissa Nicolle! She has a birth certificate. Our petition for permission for her to travel will go before the judge on Thursday.

SATURDAY the 14th
from Peter:
The latest: Marissa will be registered, i.e. get birth certificate, on Monday. We will also be traveling
to the capitol to renew our residency cards. Our petition to the court for permission to get her a Honduran passport and try for a US visa will be submitted on Tuesday. Maileen returns to the US on

PRAISES
After 40 months, yesterday at noon we were official named guardians of Marissa Nicolle till she is 21 years old, an adult. We are still working on the adoption part but this means she our lawful responsibility and cannot be taken from us. We can put her in school, she can now have a birth

Dear Maileen...

Dear Maileen,

It sucks that we cannot be physically with you, but please know that we are always thinking about you and praying for you daily.  I know it sounds cheesy, but it's true.  I am thankful that you are able to be with Peter and Marissa right now, even though it is only for a short time.  Being surrounded by love is an awesome healer.

I would also like to thank you for our friendship.  I know we haven't been close during the early part of our lives (because we lived so far apart), but with the help of technology (primarily SKYPE),  I have
felt closer than ever to my mom's side of the family and it's because of you.  I love our long conversations about our lives, our loves and our children.  I am so thankful that I can share that with you.I know that these past few months have been a roller coaster.  And I know that the next few months are going to be difficult.  But always remember that God is always with you.

Adoption update: (The bad) Met with our lawyer on Friday. Our file was on his desk, not at child services. (The good) A new possibility has arisen to continue the process in the courts of Siguatepeque. We should have a very important meeting Monday late afternoon.
